Welcome to the HAPP Website
Huntingdon Area Primary Partnership (HAPP) is a community of 20 schools comprising nursery, infant, junior and primary schools within the Huntingdon area, irrespective of school designation or status. All schools feed (both directly and indirectly) into St Peter’s and Hinchingbrooke secondary schools.
The cluster is committed to working collaboratively together to the following principles:
• a commitment to school improvement
• a willingness to share ideas, issues, and resources and learn from each other in a spirit of mutual trust, respect and support
• a commitment to challenge, support and innovate
• a commitment to our autonomy and collective responsibility to create local solutions
Structure
The work of HAPP is organised and supported by an informal structure based on the following principles:
• An open, honest and professional culture of sharing good practice
• An equal voice for each school, regardless of size, structure or context
• Heads meeting on the second Tuesday of each half term
• All Head teachers’ meetings will use an agenda and minutes will be recorded. Other groups will be self-led and managed
• Head teachers will evaluate the engagement and impact of the work of other groups
• Working groups (typically meeting termly), with an agreed focus from our collective priorities, will be developed through the year
• Other groups may evolve based on identified need
• There is a recognition that schools can choose to engage with the work of the Partnership groups that are relevant for them
